Costa’s hummingbirds are typically found in the desert. But in October, a young male was found in a Saskatoon backyard and taken to Living Sky Wildlife Rehabilitation.

The bird, which is native to Western Canada and the Western United States, has never before been seen in Ontario, until now. Linda Johnston spotted the unique hummingbird late last month.
