The Ultra-Rare Pontiac 400 Ram Air IV Pontiac only produced the 400ci Ram Air IV V-8 from 1969 to 1970, and even in its limited production run, it wasn't the most heavily optioned engine.
With Chevrolet, it had the small block "Mighty Mouse" engines and big block "rat" engines, and while Pontiac didn't have those distinctions between models, it was still cranking out V8s to keep up.
The 2009 Pontiac G8 GXP upgrades the G8 sedan with a new 6.2-liter small-block V-8 engine that's rated at 402 horsepower. Pontiac says the G8 GXP will be able to go from zero to 60 mph in 4.7 seconds.
