A recall was issued Friday for certain packages of Deshi “Golden Raisins” due to the presence of “undeclared sulphites” that could pose a dangerous allergy risk, officials said.

Earlier this month, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration proposed food companies use new, front-of-package labels highlighting the levels of fat, salt and added sugar in their products.

If the FDA decides to implement a front-of-package label, it would follow in the footsteps of about 40 other countries. Some labeling, like in Australia, New Zealand, and the U.K., is voluntary.
