A Queensland grouper weighing 120kgs and thought to be more than 40-years-old lines up for a feed near the Cook's landing Kiosk in Cooktown.

“It’s become a haven for crayfish, sea urchins, feather stars and more than 150 species of fish including yellow tail kingfish, snapper, cod, wobbegongs, and Queensland grouper.

The Queensland grouper was particularly hard hit. He began retreating to dark corners of his tank, and even stopped eating for a few weeks.
