Quantum of the Seas sets sail on her maiden transatlantic crossing from Southampton, England on November 2, 2014, arriving eight nights later in New York.

Royal Caribbean also owns the largest cruise ships in the world, the Oasis of the Seas and the Allure of the Seas, which carry more than 6,000 people apiece. Quantum will carry 4,180 passengers.

The latest ship from RCL, who have Independence of the Seas, Adventure of the Seas as well as Celebrity Eclipse based in Southampton, will carry 4,200 passengers and set sail from November 2014.
