Potholes filled from Jan. 1 to Feb. 25 was at 11,985 this year compared to nearly double that last year for the same time period. In 2018, a whopping 75,283 were filled.

In total, the city filled 537,265 potholes in 2024, 619,886 in 2023, and 582,840 in 2022. There were more potholes filled in January 2023 than usual because of the mild winter.

The problem has been worsening. Last year, the city filled more than 35,000 potholes — 2,000 more than in 2023. The annual average sits around 20,000.
