Alarcon, Popeyes head of culinary innovation since October 2007, has been tasked with preserving the chain’s Louisiana roots by using ingredients inspired by that zesty down under cooking scene.

Popeyes added wings to its permanent menu on Wednesday nationwide, the company said in a press release. The wings, which are hand-battered and breaded, start at $5.99 for a six-piece order.
