Ms. Atwood will receive the $25,000 Lifetime Recognition Award at Toronto’s Koerner Hall on June 4, when this year’s Griffin Poetry Prize will also be presented.

Anyone over the age of 15 can be nominated for the new yearly awards. The winners are given a prize of $1,000 and a plaque.
