The woman, identified as 61-year-old Robbin Mary Danko, was struck before 3 p.m. on a section of the trail in Lower Saucon Township, Northampton County. Danko was a Springfield Township resident.

The incident happened along the trail in the 1700 block of Valerie Lane, authorities said. The Saucon Rail Trail, spanning over 5 miles, is often used for walking, biking, and running in Lower Saucon.
