South Philly was surprised by the sudden absence of Paul George on Tuesday night. The Philadelphia 76ers ruled out the nine-time NBA All-Star roughly 30 minutes

This season, George has appeared in 25 games for the 76ers, at a little over 32 minutes per game. He’s been averaging 16.5 points, 5.8 rebounds, 4.6 assists and 1.8 steals with splits of 41.7 percent shooting from the field, 34.1 percent shooting from the three-point line and 81.2 percent shooting from the free-throw line.

This week, the Philadelphia 76ers weren’t certain about Paul George’s playing status at times. After George competed against the Phoenix Suns for nearly 38 minutes on January 6, the Sixers ruled out George for Wednesday’s game against the Washington Wizards.
