There has been a lot of speculation about the future of Jerod Mayo as head coach of the New England Patriots. While another season is no guarantee for Mayo, a report on Sunday has Patriots owner Robert Kraft and team president Jonathan Kraft leaning toward giving the head coach at least a second season to get it right.

And while Mayo’s job status is reportedly looking fairly safe through 2025, the embattled rookie coach has won one of the most important voices in the locker room.
