Mario Paint was first launched in 1992 on the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) and came with a mouse peripheral.

Although Paint 3D was conceived in the early days of Windows 10, it still works perfectly fine, even on the latest Windows 11 updates, such as version 24H2.

The new background removal feature is in Paint 11.2306.30.0 and later, and if it is not available, please be patient while Microsoft rolls it out.
