A new video game just debuted within the Pac-Man universe. It's called Shadow Labyrinth and it's very different from the pellet-chomping game that once dominated arcades.

In the episode titled “PAC-MAN: Circle,” audiences got their first look at the world of the game through the eyes of a previous Swordsman (No. 7, preceding the game’s No. 8).

45 years after “Pac-Man” chomped through arcade cabinets, a sinister version of the character returns in “Shadow Labyrinth,” out July 17.
