Service members who had PCS moves scheduled for before the end of September will move; the Air Force is aiming to get orders to airmen 30 days in advance.

Troops planning to move in the next two months should receive their permanent change of station, or PCS, orders by the end of July, or at least 30 days before their departure date, the Air Force said.

The report found that the Air Force spent the highest per move, at an average of $8,548. The service asked for $1.1 billion for 2023 PCS moves, according to Air Force budget documents.
