Two otters named Louie and Ophelia escaped from a zoo in Wisconsin during a winter storm after leaving through a 'small breach in buried fencing that they managed to enlarge.' The NEW Zoo & Adventure Park announced in a Facebook post that a professional tracker is searching for the animals.

On March 20 during a winter storm, river otters Louie and Ophelia left their habitat through a small hole in buried fencing they managed to make big enough to get out, according to NEW Zoo & Adventure Park. Tracks in the snow and video from overnight cameras showed the “wild night” the otters had sliding around the zoo.

A pair of otters dug their way to freedom at a Wisconsin zoo and are still on the loose days later. The North American river otters, Louie and Ophelia, escaped their enclosure under cover of a snowstorm on Thursday, March 20, the New Zoo & Adventure Park, in Green Bay, said in a Facebook post.
