Two otters named Louie and Ophelia escaped from a zoo in Wisconsin during a winter storm after leaving through a 'small breach in buried fencing that they managed to enlarge.' The NEW Zoo & Adventure Park announced in a Facebook post that a professional tracker is searching for the animals.

On March 20 during a winter storm, river otters Louie and Ophelia left their habitat through a small hole in buried fencing they managed to make big enough to get out, according to NEW Zoo & Adventure Park. Tracks in the snow and video from overnight cameras showed the “wild night” the otters had sliding around the zoo.

A pair of North American river otters at the New Zoo Adventure Park in Green Bay, Wisconsin, decided to take an unauthorized field trip during a snowstorm. The otters, named Louie and Ophelia, enlarged an opening in their enclosure and escaped.
