People living on the route of a notorious pub crawl have opposed plans for a wine bar to extend its opening hours.

But the Otley Run is a different type of race. A well-known pub crawl in an area of West Leeds, runners begin the 19-stop drinking route at Woodies and finish at Dry Dock in the city centre.

A bar and restaurant chain has been refused permission to open a new venue on the city’s most infamous pub crawl route.

“Unfortunately, the Otley Run is no longer limited to weekends, although it is particularly busy on Saturdays, with 2,000 Otley runners counted in just three hours on a recent weekend.” ...
