This is getting a revamp as it leverages Android 16’s new Live Updates feature. Samsung introduced Live Notifications in the Now Bar with One UI 7, but they’re about to get better with One UI 8.

Now, with One UI 7 by default, they’ve decided to split them up. If you swipe down from the left or middle of the top of your screen, you’re only going to see your notifications.

However, with One UI 7, Samsung switched to an iPhone-like interface wherein swiping down from the left shows the notification tray, while swiping from the right opens the quick settings panel.

The notification settings change has been added to an ever-growing list of alterations I make every time I set up a Samsung phone, but most aren’t unique to One UI 7.
