Russia's Ryazan oil refinery halved its production and the Novokuibyshevsk refinery halted it completely on Aug. 2 after Ukrainian drone attacks, Reuters reported, citing undisclosed sources.

Unlike Moscow, Ukraine is hitting military targets deep inside Russia with precision strikes—rail hubs, defense plants, and refineries. The result: crippled oil capacity and prices hit record highs across the country.

Primary oil processing at Russia's Novokuibyshevsk refinery, which is operated by the Rosneft oil company, has been halted since August 2 following a Ukrainian drone attack last week, two industry sources said.
