Spring Garden Township's decision to merge its police department with York County Regional Police came "after careful review and consideration," the press release said.

The Spring Garden Township Police Officers' Association supports the merger, and all Spring Garden Police officers will stay employed with York County Regional Police.

Two York County police departments are merging into one this June. On Sunday, June 1, the Spring Garden Township Police Department officially merged with the York County Regional Police Department.
