The transformational redevelopment project that began when the first rock was placed in early 2021 at the Ocean Reef Marina breakwaters and involved 1.25 million tonnes of rock is now complete.

With a new marina being built at Ocean Reef, local surfers are protesting about the loss of four local surf breaks, including Mossies, Big Rock and Pylons which will be lost in the new development.

Ocean Reef Boat Harbour will be converted into a new waterfront precinct, the Ocean Reef Marina development. Premier Mark McGowan said it would be similar to Hillarys Boat Harbour.
