The event is marking eight decades of the beloved children’s character with steam train rides, entertainment, and family-friendly activities.

Thomas the Tank Engine has been an icon to many kids for 80 years. For 30 years, the steam engine has visited Strasburg Rail Road in Lancaster County, offering rides to adoring fans.

Thomas isn’t the one tank engine people can meet. “We have Percy for photo-ops, we have Sir Topham Hat for photo-ops, and the miniature trains as well,” Hoerner added.
