A valid product key for the Pro edition is required. We have provided a generic key to change the edition. However, it doesn’t activate your copy of Windows 11/10.

That answer assumes you have a Windows 10 Pro product key. If so, that key will work to perform an upgrade, because all Windows 10 and Windows 11 product keys are interchangeable.
