Nate Grey aka X-Man is another version of the Nathan Summers character created by Mister Sinister in the Age of Apocalypse timeline, but with more god-like abilities.

In X-Men '97 episode 2, Nathan Summers is born to Jean Grey and Scott Summers - which already marks a departure from the comics given that Jean Grey is actually his stepmother.

But never mind all that: little Nathan is here, but as hardcore X-Men comics fans already know, this isn’t actually the first time we’ve seen a version of Scott and Jean’s son on the show.
