RICHMOND, Va. -- The 46th Annual Model Railroad Show at the Science Museum of Virginia presented by Dominion Energy is this Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

The historic 1905 L&N Railroad Depot is at 219 N. First Ave. and will be open from noon until 5 p.m. The 1960 SCL Caboose located behind the depot will also be open during the same hours.

An N scale train is 1/160th the size of a life-sized train, and it runs along tracks set 9 millimeters apart. The larger HO scale about twice the size, at 1/87th actual size.
Bought my first model railroad car, a little silver ore car in N scale, when I was about five. Got rid of the N scale stuff upon moving to California a while back and joining an HO train club.
