Xbox Live has been hit by a major outage, leaving thousands unable to sign-into their profiles. Users in the US, the UK and parts of Europe, Asia and South America are having issues.

Sean Booker, CNET Xbox Live is back online. After an outage knocked out the gaming service for several hours on Tuesday, Microsoft's gaming platform is back in service.
