SINGAPORE, May 21, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Google announced at I/O 2025 its partnership with Gentle Monster as a first partner for an AI smart eyewear collaboration with Android XR.

Gentle Monster, which entered China in 2016 and partnered with Huawei in 2019 to make smart glasses, opened its seventeenth store in Beijing in early August for further expansion in China.

Gentle Monster, known for its high-fashion frames worn by celebrities like Beyoncé, Rihanna, and Blackpink’s Jennie, reported 2024 revenue of 789.1 billion Korean won ($570 million).

The company revealed that the first eyeglass brands to carry Android XR AI-powered glasses will be Warby Parker and Gentle Monster, with more brand partners to be revealed in the future.
