The Phoenix Suns have hired Cleveland Cavaliers assistant Jordan Ott as their head coach, opting for a young, emerging leader to rebuild a franchise that has regressed over the past few seasons.

Jordan Ott, who spent this past season in Cleveland alongside Kenny Atkinson, has reportedly been hired as head coach of the Phoenix Suns following an extensive search to replace Mike Budenholzer.

According to Shams Charania of ESPN, the Suns hired Jordan Ott as their next head coach on Wednesday. Ott will be hoping to fare better than his predecessors Mike Budenholzer and Frank Vogel, both of whom were fired after just one year on the job.
