Reports are that Joba Chamberlain had an open dislocation of his subtalar joint, which is not synonymous with the ankle. In reality, they are two distinct joints that are in close proximity.
Among the operative group, four patients (7.7%) had a subsequent dislocation; three patients (5.8%) had a subluxation and one patient (1.9%) had subjective instability.
