About 50 people attended Sunday’s event, which also included sheep shearing and yarn spinning. Farm owner Mary Perry said Sunday that her farm has held the maypole dance for the last eight years.

The organization hosted a celebration of its new Maibaum (maypole) on May 9 when 163 couples —326 people — completed a traditional seven-step dance, a seiben schritt, in a circle around it.
