Duquesne's former high school football field was set to be demolished after it was deemed unsafe, says the district that hopes to build a new one. But everything has come to a grinding halt.

After a decade of having no middle school students and no athletic program, the school will welcome football, basketball, volleyball, track and cheerleading back to Duquesne City School.

The Duquesne City School District's request to reopen its high school has been denied by the state.
