At about 12:12 p.m., the county's dive team recovered a man's body. About six hours later, the body of another man was recovered. The water in that area is between 30-40 feet deep.

According to the St. Croix Sheriff's Office, a boater reported seeing a fishing boat going in circles at around 9:35 a.m. near Troy Beach.

The 24-year-old male from Baldwin, WI has been identified as Maxwell L. Krueger. This incident represents the fourth and fifth traffic fatalities recorded by St. Croix County in 2025.
