The first Main Event opened in Lewisville, Texas, in 1998. The Knoxville Main Event, which has more than 140 employees, is the 38th in the nation and the 11th opened since the beginning of 2016.

Main Event Entertainment currently operates six other family entertainment centers in Texas. They are located in the cities of: Shenandoah, Austin, Lewisville, Grapevine, Plano, and Fort Worth.
