A new 30-year master plan for Lake Anna State Park calls for an expanded beach, upgraded camp sites and a push to remind visitors of the park’s gold mining heritage.

Some are nestled in mountains and surrounded by wooded forest, while others are found not far from city centers, but all of Virginia's lakes provide scenic spots for rest and reflection.
