Jerseys worn by Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant in the first NBA games of their careers are expected to sell for millions of dollars when they go up for auction this spring.

NBA debut jerseys for Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant will hit the auction block through Sotheby’s. The two jerseys are being sold individually, but the auction house estimates that the two jerseys could sell for a combined $20 million or more.

The prices of collectible memorabilia from players’ rookie seasons have reached astronomical new heights.

Sotheby's is hosting its latest unique sports auction. The auction house unveiled on Thursday the sale of NBA legends Michael Jordan's and Kobe Bryant's first game-worn jerseys, from the former's time at the Chicago Bulls and the latter's at the Los Angeles Lakers.

As for Mamba ... Kob's jersey is from his regular-season debut on November 3, 1996, when the 18-year-old -- the youngest ever to play in an NBA game at the time -- donned the purple and gold Lakers uniform in a 91-86 win over the Timberwolves at the Forum in L.A.
