FORT PIERCE — One week after selling a portion of the King's Landing property, Audubon Development, the project's longtime developer, could be just a week from stepping away from it altogether.

FORT PIERCE — Two new companies soon could be in charge of building the King's Landing development planned for downtown. The complex could include a hotel, homes, condos, restaurants and shops.

The sale could mean construction will start soon. It comes as Audubon also is finalizing a deal to give up control of the rest of King's Landing.
