Soldiers in the Kansas Army National Guard returned home after 10 months away Tuesday afternoon. They spent around two months training in Salina then Fort Bliss before being deployed to Kuwait.

Kansas Army National Guard officials said the 1-635th and 170th MC are deploying in support of Operation Spartan Shield under the command of Lt. Col. Matthew Holler.
