The owner of a 500-pound statue of the Hindu god Ganesh that mysteriously appeared in the Oakville Museum's parking lot has come forward to claim their property.

If the statue doesn’t find its way back to East India Company, Mehra said the family will replace it. But that could cost up to $7,000, plus the travel to India and shipping back to Canada.
