The streaming service posted a trailer for the "coming-of-age documentary" on Thursday. According to Netflix, the story will be told from the perspective of a group of young people in Joplin as the EF-5 tornado hit their hometown on their high school graduation day.

Our friends at Norma’s Diner, 19th and Main, in Joplin told us in the fall of 2023 a production company was doing interviews at the restaurant after hours. Those interviews, footage from KOAM’s archives, and other sources are part of this Netflix Documentary.

A new documentary about the Joplin tornado is coming to Netflix in March. The trailer features firsthand footage from the storm, which blew through Joplin just minutes after the class of 2011 received their diplomas.
