The Anaheim Ducks have goaltender John Gibson signed for four more years. Some speculation suggests teams may try to acquire him in the off-season.
Goalie John Gibson has agreed to an eight-year, $51.2 million US contract extension with the Anaheim Ducks. The team announced the deal Saturday. Gibson is signed through the 2026-27 season.
Gibson, 31, has spent his first 12 years in the league with Anaheim. He started 28 games, compared to 49 for Dostal, last season, and he's signed for two more at a salary cap hit of $6.4 million.
He also had a 10-team no-trade clause that went into effect last summer. For his career, Gibson owns a record of 166-148-51 with a goals-against average of 2.67 and a save percentage of .915.
