How to use the Apple HomePod’s temperature and humidity sensors Your HomePod Mini can now tell you how hot it is in your room, as well as clock the humidity. The new HomePod will be able to do ...
Apple activated the dormant temperature and humidity sensors in the HomePod mini with its 16.3 update and the revived HomePod 2 also comes with the same hardware and software capabilities.
Relative humidity, or RH, is the percentage of moisture in the air referenced to the maximum level of moisture the air can hold at that temperature and pressure.
The sensor works best indoors between 15 and 30 degrees Celsius (59 to 86 Fahrenheit) and when humidity is between 30% and 70%, Apple says on its website.
With its built-in sensor, HomePod can detect and tell you the temperature and humidity of the room. And you can set it in automations so the blinds close if the temperature hits 80 degrees.
