The rate increase amounts to an additional $3.75 a month for the average family paying a monthly bill of $100. Inflation was running at 2.75 per cent a year in B.C. and 1.9 per cent nationally.
If approved, customers might see an average increase of approximately $5 on their residential bills starting Sept. 1, according to SaskPower. An additional hike of $5 would follow in April 2023.
