Actress Hunter Schafer said she was issued a passport recently with her gender marker changed to male; this comes after President Donald Trump issued an executive order stating the U.S will only recognize two sexes.

Hunter Schafer says “it’s important to just keep track of where things are in our country,” a day after the “Euphoria” star posted a video in which she revealed her new passport had been issued with a male gender marker.

Hunter Schafer is detailing her “harsh reality check” amid the Trump administration. After being inaugurated for his non-consecutive second term, on January 20, 2025, President Donald Trump issued an executive order that, in part, declared that only two genders will recognized by the United States, male and female as assigned at birth.
