The flight was operated by a 12-year-old Boeing 737-900ER and, according to Delta, there were 109 passengers and six crew onboard. No injuries were reported as a result of the incident.

A missing part of a wing from a Delta Air Lines 737 that landed Tuesday night at Raleigh-Durham International Airport, may have fallen on a nearby home’s driveway.

This flight uses a 737-900ER, but not one of Delta's standard 737-900ERs. Rather, this aircraft, N940DU, is part of Delta's "73R" subfleet, which consists of planes that used to fly for LionAir.
