The HB Plant High School Band has been invited to perform at the 2017 Music for All National Concert Festival. Henry B. Plant High School has some major bragging rights.

Plant High School is ranked 36th within Florida. Students have the opportunity to take Advanced Placement® coursework and exams. The AP® participation rate at Plant High School is 82%.

Florida High School Athletic Association suspended Henry B. Plant High School football coach Rob Weiner six games for helping a student-athlete, whose housing had fallen through, find a home.
