Hawks Nest Golf Course was leased to the state and opened to the public in 2000 through a $400,000 budget digest requisition acquired by former Sen. Shirley Love, D-Fayette.

Hawk's Nest at Ohio State ATI is slated to close on Dec. 15, and the university has plans to sell the golf course property as it works to consolidate onto the Wooster campus.
