The end of the mask mandate coincides with when Hawaii plans to lift its COVID-19 quarantine requirement for travelers, who will no longer have to show proof of vaccination.

The last statewide mask mandate in the U.S. will be lifted by March 26, Hawaii Gov. David Ige announced Tuesday.

At Kaiser Permanente in Hawaii, masks are required at all facilities at all times for everyone age 2 and older. That includes physicians, staff, patients, and visitors age 2 and up.

Hawaii’s mask mandate will end on March 25, marking the last US state to scrap compulsory mask wearing. It comes a day after Puerto Rico said it is scrapping mask requirements.
