Rejecting prosecutors' call for the death penalty, a jury sentenced the 1960s radical formerly known as H. Rap Brown to life in prison yesterday for killing a sheriff's deputy two years ago.

WASHINGTON - The Supreme Court is declining to take the case of a 1960s black militant formerly known as H. Rap Brown who is in prison for killing a Georgia sheriff’s deputy in 2000.
