It was a press conference like few others when Slash, the former guitarist for metal band Guns 'n' Roses ambled onto the stage in a room at the Air Canada Centre before the weekend.

Earlier this week even, fellow Guns N' Roses guitarist Richard Fortus spoke about a new GNR album, telling the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, "Slash is on tour right now.

Slash, a founding member of Guns N’ Roses, was inducted last month into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. His new record, Apocalyptic Love, is out May 22 on Universal Records.
