Cronulla's start to the Australian Water Polo League has been a frustrating affair with work on their home base at Sutherland Pool still incomplete after work on the complex's Waterpark build.

It was a successful return to their spiritual home for the men's Cronulla Sharks water polo team on Saturday when they toppled the Balmain Tigers 12-10 in a tight game at Cronulla's Gunnamatta Bay.
